Admissions Guide for First Grade (2025 Intake)
Founded in 2000, Jinan Kaiyuan Foreign Language School is a full-time private elementary school operating under the unified management of the Jinan Foreign Languages School Education Group. This admissions guide has been formulated in accordance with the relevant work arrangements of the superior education authorities and in consideration of the school's specific circumstances.
I. Enrollment Plan and Admission Criteria
For the 2025 academic year, the school plans to enroll 304 students across 8 classes. Admission will be conducted through synchronized yet separate enrollment categories, each with its own dedicated quota.
1. 220 students will be admitted to the school through a computer-based random selection process from the general public. This cohort will consist of 80 day students and 140 boarding students, with equal gender representation maintained during admission.
2. 84 students will be admitted from the children of employees within the education group, the founding investors of the school, and partner educational institutions.
II. Eligibility Criteria
1. Applicants must be six years of age by August 31, 2019 (inclusive), have received formal preschool education, and be of appropriate age for enrollment. Children who have already been enrolled in compulsory education and hold a student status elsewhere are not eligible to apply.
2. Children of appropriate age with Jinan household registration, as well as children from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and foreign nationalities.
3. Applicants must be in good physical and mental health, possess clear speech, and demonstrate a reasonable level of self-care ability.
4. In accordance with the relevant requirements of the "Action Plan for Joint Disciplinary Measures Against Persons Subject to Enforcement for Dishonesty," children of individuals classified as "discredited persons" (enforcement debtors) are not eligible to apply.
5. Parents must highly identify with the school's educational philosophy and management model.
III. Application Method and Timeline
1. Please visit the school's official website (www.jnflsky.com) and click on the "Jinan Kaiyuan Foreign Language School 2025 Public Admissions Registration System" to complete the online application.
2. Please log in to the official WeChat account of Jinan Kaiyuan Foreign Language School, and click on the "Jinan Kaiyuan Foreign Language School 2025 Public Admissions Registration System" to complete the online application.
3. Scan the WeChat QR code to access the "Jinan Kaiyuan Foreign Language School 2025 Public Admissions Registration System" and complete the online application.
4. Online Application Period: 2:00 PM on July 14th to 6:00 PM on July 16th.
IV. Computer-Based Random Selection: Time, Venue, and Requirements
1. Time: 1:30 PM, Friday, July 18, 2025
2. Venue: Comprehensive Teaching Building, Jinan Kaiyuan Foreign Language School (No. 139 Huanshan Road, Lixia District, Jinan)
3. Parents who voluntarily come to the school to observe the computer-based random selection process must present their original ID card and the "2025 First Grade Student Application Form," and will be guided by staff to a designated area for observation. Only one family member is permitted to attend; it is not necessary for the child to be present. The list of provisionally admitted students generated by the computer-based random selection will be announced on-site and published on the school's official WeChat account that same afternoon. Please note that parking is not available on campus; parents are kindly advised to use eco-friendly transportation.
V. Information Verification and Fee Payment for Provisionally Admitted Students
1. Information Verification and Fee Payment Period: July 19, 2025 (Saturday)
8:30 AM – 11:00 AM (For female students)
1:30 PM – 4:00 PM (For male students)
2. Verification Requirements: Parents of provisionally admitted students must bring the original household register, both parents' ID cards, the original marriage certificate, and the child's birth certificate. They must also bring the child to the school for on-site information verification. Upon successful verification, procedures for fee payment and enrollment will be completed.
3. Fee Standard: As approved by the Municipal Development and Reform Commission, the tuition fee is 楼60,000 per year. (Failure to complete payment within the specified timeframe will be regarded as voluntary forfeiture of the student placement. The vacancy will not be refilled.)
VI. Additional Information
1. The school will strictly conduct its enrollment procedures in full compliance with the relevant provincial and municipal enrollment policies and requirements.
2. The school will strictly adhere to the study mode (day student/boarding student) submitted by parents in the application system and will admit day students and boarding students accordingly under separate categories. Parents must accurately select and submit their child's study mode (day student/boarding) in the application system by 6:00 PM on July 16, 2025, to complete registration. After the system closes (after 6:00 PM on July 16, 2025), the submitted information cannot be modified and will serve as the sole basis for subsequent categorized admission. Parents are urged to carefully review and ensure all information is true and accurate. The school will conduct separate computer-based random selection processes for day student applicants and boarding student applicants. The entire process will be supervised by notaries, representatives of the People's Congress, members of the People's Political Consultative Conference, staff from the District Education and Sports Bureau, parent representatives, and teacher representatives. Admitted day students and boarding students will be assigned to separate classes. Teacher allocation, educational management, and tuition fees will be identical for both groups. All admitted students must sign an agreement based on the study mode information submitted and locked in the application system. Once the agreement is signed and confirmed, the study mode cannot be changed throughout the entire primary school stage. Parents are strongly advised to prudently and responsibly choose the study mode (day student/boarding) based on comprehensive factors such as the child's actual adaptability to campus life and family circumstances. Please note that the number of applicants and admission ratios may differ between the two study modes. Parents should fully understand and evaluate these factors before making a final decision.
3. The outcome of the computer-based random selection admission method is uncertain. Parents who apply are strongly advised to also complete the new student registration process at the elementary school corresponding to their residential district (based on their household registration and actual address) in accordance with the stipulated timeline, to avoid any disruption to their child's enrollment.
4. Jinan Kaiyuan Foreign Language School reserves the right of final interpretation regarding all enrollment matters.
